Hace pocas semanas fue lanzado el libro Mapping the Country of Regions The Chorographic Commission of Nineteenth-Century Colombia de la Dra. Nancy Appelbaum (Binghamton University) dedicado a la Comisión Corográfica. El investigador Jorge Cañizares-Esguerra lo reseñó así:
